We met Amina and her baby, Emma while serving in a remote village, Rokbop. Amina heard our team would be visiting, so she travelled from a nearby village, Rokel.
Amina was in need of medical help for her 19-month-old daughter weighing only 10 pounds and asked us if there was something we could do. The team brought them to the city for Emma to have access to quality medical care. They have been staying at the orphanage while Emma receives treatment.
During her time at the orphanage, Amina has given her life to Jesus! She told us that she thought she was in another world because of the love and care that has been shown to her.
We gave her a Bible and once she started reading, she didn’t stop until 15 hours later! Amina asked if while at the orphanage, someone could disciple her to help enable her to teach the Bible to those in her village when she returns home!
Oh, how wonderful the works of God are! We are so grateful to see how He was worked in Amina’s life. Baby Emma is gaining weight and continuing to improve. We know that God will use Amina and Emma to further his kingdom in Sierra Leone for generations to come!
